That’s what happened when Christine and Donna were chosen as the first recipients of Joyland’s community giveaway—a new initiative aimed at helping local homeowners in need. And for them, the experience was nothing short of life-changing.
A Life-Changing Surprise
Christine had been dealing with the stress of needing a new roof. Just a few months earlier, she received a quote from Joyland but wasn’t sure how she’d make it happen. Then came the call she never expected.
“She was pretty surprised and taken aback,” John Esh shared. “She said, ‘Oh my goodness, I can’t believe this.’”

Donna, the second winner, had a front door that was falling apart. It was more than a cosmetic issue—it affected her home’s security and energy efficiency. After being nominated, Brandon from our team visited her home to measure and help her select a brand-new front entry door, along with a matching storm door.
“It helped me out a lot,” Donna said. “Everyone was so polite and respectful. I will absolutely recommend Joyland, and I already have a couple more projects in mind. Joyland will be my go-to.”
